  • Gone for a week

I will be gone for a week despite not being on much before this to post.  I get to work on an all purpose building at our state camp with the electrical team.  It is something my Father would have like to help build at when he retired.  These guys I work with are in his age group with on of them being a guy we went to church when I was growing up.  It is a  nice way to spend the week before Father's day.  It is cool when parents and children share dreams together even if the other is not longer on earth. Dad would talk about doing these types of  things when we worked together while growing up.

God is good in so many ways as He works things out. My sister  had an operation this last week which went well. Praise the Lord! It is amazing how we all can take after our parents in different ways. God is in control. God is good all the time even when I don't seem to realize it or see it. That is were this thing called "faith" comes in!

  • I am so glad that God is the one in control. And it takes faith to really live life as if this is the case. People have their hands on everything below the throne of God. Though it seems that everything is so messed up when it comes to a proper distribution of food, water, medicine, money, clothing, land, etc. etc. I know that this is man's doing. For no one would have any power or authority if it was not given to them from above, whether these figures of authority admit it or not. But why does God allow this abuse of his authority. I could go on and on with this subject. But I think instead I'll just say that some things God produces by his mighty will, others are allowed to be produced by God's mere permission. But I rejoice in the fact that it is the thrice holy, powerful, mighty and just, loving, creator who calls the shots and is in absolute control of everything that happens with all and in all things existing! And as We live in a among God's created goods--at the present time most of these goods in the world seem to be being used more for evils and less for what God has intended them to be used for--we flowers of Christ have been given a gift, a great gift, from our Lord: The gift of Faith. Where would we be without this. For the powerful authorities are utilizing the world for evil, and hence all kinds of vices are being imposed on the Lord's "children," his followers. Besides the vices that exist in our external world, we are all victims of a thorn in our own flesh: our vices from within. All this is too much to shoulder. It is humanity's splinter of the cross of its savior, our Lord, Jesus Christ. And should we not do as Jesus does. Offer this pain and suffering up to the Father for the salvation of souls. As the worldly powers are using goods for evil, we Christians use the evils in this world for good. It is as if, by the grace of God, the vices of the world become as rungs on a ladder. Under persecution we learn to be patient in our afflictions, during times of shortage we find moderation, and temperance, when the world hates, our love for others is tested. This seemingly contradictive process goes on in this way, and hence, all by God's grace we Christians Grow in that which God intends us to be and so it is in this way that all those vices become rungs on a ladder that leads straight to the throne of God.

  • lol. Above I meant "followers of Christ" not "flowers of Christ"

  • I liked your comment on the Xanga for life post.

  • This one>>>>>I purchased the lifetime when I found xanga.  It appeared to have a good purpose which is wonderful to be a part of.  Despite xanga being so awesome, there is one lifetime, actually eternal commitment I have made which is the best yet that does not deal with commitment to the internet. Yet, through Xanga, I have found some amazing friends that share my same eternal commitment!!!  I do enjoy Xanga and hope it grows and continues in awesome ways! I'm able to learn from people on Xanga from all over the world.  Even if we may not agree on things, I do enjoy learning from them which allows my own world to grow.  I have no regrets getting Lifetime premium!!!!!

  • Your week is up.....where are you?? I hope you had a grrrrrreat 4th of July!! ~Carolyn
